THE BRONX - The men credited with founding hip-hop came together today to celebrate the 40th birthday of the genre.

A ceremony was held at City Hall.

Aside from celebrating, the men proposed a hip-hop history museum at the Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx

Councilman Fernando Cabrera, who represents the district around the armory, says any decision on if the museum can be built there will be up to the armory's board.
