‘Hip Hop Kitchen’ event empowers female artists in BX

Women across the Bronx came together Saturday for the 10th annual Momma's Hip Hop Kitchen.

The co-founders say it's a great way to create a safe and creative space for women to express themselves through their art form.

THE BRONX - Women across the Bronx came together Saturday for the 10th annual Momma's Hip Hop Kitchen.

The event was held at Hostos Community College on the Grand Concourse.

It featured performances by talented women including singers, dancers, beat boxers, and poets.

The co-founders say it's a great way to create a safe and creative space for women to express themselves through their art form.

The founders say it's important now more than ever in this political climate for them to stick together as women.
