THE BRONX - Some of hip-hop’s founding members will be in the Bronx tonight to kick off a four-part series to celebrate the art.

The event is being hosted by Hip-Hop Consulting Committee, and the goal is to create awareness of the birthplace and history of the genre, as well as to bridge the gap between the pioneers and today's hip-hop enthusiasts.

The first forum will be held tonight at Beso Lounge.

Special guests include Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recipient Grandmaster Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz and graffiti legend Lava.
