THE BRONX - Holi, the annual Hindu festival of colors, kicked off Sunday in the Bronx outside Vishnu Temple.

Organizers say it's about all things good: the coming of spring, good above evil and community building.

This year, the city Comptroller's Office came and gave the temple a commendation award for continuing the festival celebration for almost 19 years.

The festival attracts more than just Hindus, now drawing a diverse crowd in the Bronx.
