Housing for veterans opens in Kingsbridge

THE BRONX - New housing for veterans is now open in The Bronx in time for Veterans Day this weekend. Kingsbridge Terrace, a 76-unit apartment building built specifically for veterans, has opened its doors. The building just opened through Jericho Project, a nonprofit organization that works with homeless veterans to get them into affordable housing. The $20 million building was paid for by the Department of Housing and Urban Development with tax credits. Sources tell News 12 The Bronx that there is already a waiting list of more than 100 people to get into the apartment building.
