Hundreds attend annual Memorial Day parade in City Island

THE BRONX - Hundreds of spectators lined the streets in City Island today for an annual Memorial Day parade.

City Island Avenue was a sea of marching bands and floats as participants paid tribute to the country's service men and women for the sacrifices they have made.

The parade has taken place for more than 90 years, with the first event dating back to 1920. Many Bronx residents say they are proud to be part of such a special tradition.
