Hundreds turn out for Valentine's marathon in BX

THE BRONX - Hundreds of runners and joggers turned out today for a Valentine's marathon in the Bronx, perhaps looking to offset the guilt from all those Valentine's Day chocolates.

Although temperatures stayed in the 30s, participants worked up a sweat on the 26-mile loop around Van Cortlandt Park.

The event was sponsored by Holiday Marathons, which aims to promote healthy holiday traditions.
