Hunt is on for subway robber

THE BRONX - Police released a sketch and photo of a man who is accused of robbing 11 subway commuters across the city, including three in the Bronx.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build and black hair. Police say he approaches his victims on subway platforms and either threatens them with a knife or pretends to have a firearm.

Investigators say the most recent Bronx robbery linked to the suspect occurred at the 238th Street train station. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All the calls will be kept confidential.
