Hunts Point Landing officially opened up to the public

HUNTS POINT - The new public pier along the Bronx and East rivers officially opened today in Hunts Point.

The one-and-a-half acre space will allow Bronx residents to fish, kayak and enjoy the view. Organizers say they hope to add a food vendor to the space in the upcoming weeks.

The project was funded with state and federal money. To watch residents and local officials react to the new waterfront, click on News 12 Extra on Optimum TV channel 612.
