THE BRONX - The Hunts Point Library celebrated its 82nd birthday with a special ceremony today.

The library hosted an open house next door on Southern Boulevard. Tables were set up with various health and community resources.

The public library has been providing free resources to thousands of Bronx residents since 1929. The manager says it sees about 2,000 patrons each month.
