Hunts Point market evacuated over unknown powder

HUNTS POINT - Authorities say the Hunts Point Meat Market was evacuated today after an employee opened an envelope containing a suspicious white powder and anti-Semitic writing.

An ambulance transported the man to Lincoln Medical Center at about noon, where he underwent treatment for what the fire department says were minor injuries.

A police investigation into the incident at 355 Food Center Drive is ongoing.
