Hunts Point shopping center in the works

THE BRONX - A commercial development company is looking to bring a $35-million shopping center to Hunts Point, and it could be open by 2013.

The proposed spot for the shopping center is at the intersection of Southern and Bruckner boulevards.

The community board has already approved a plan prepared by the Prusik Group, a tri-state area commercial developer. The next hurdle is a vote by the City Council and if it approves it, construction could begin in 2011.
