JERSEY CITY, N.J. - More than a thousand people from the Bronx and beyond attended an immigration reform rally today at Liberty State Park in New Jersey.

Dozens of undocumented immigrants stepped forward at the rally to support comprehensive immigration reform.

Today's rally was just a preamble of a much larger event that is set to take place in Washington D.C. this week.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg estimates there are about a half a million undocumented immigrants currently living in New York City.

Lawmakers are working on a plan that would call for a path to citizenship for roughly 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. It also calls for an easier path for those seeking legal immigration.
