THE BRONX - The only openly gay church in the Bronx is celebrating nine years of ministry. 

In the Life Ministries held a special service and reception Sunday in honor of the progress the LGBT community has made. 

The church's mission is to provide spiritual support to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender or religion. 

Pastor James Dusenbury says that Christians who are part of the congregation know that the love of God is the same for them dispute what society may label them as.
