THE BRONX - A Bronx cheerleading team will be able to compete in nationals down in Florida this weekend thanks to help from their community.

The James Monroe High School cheer squad is the first Bronx public high school to compete against the nation's best teams.

Online donations helped raise more than $30,000 to fund the trip.
