Jaspers come up short against Iona at MSG 62-60

THE BRONX - The Manhattan College men?s basketball team met rival Iona College at Madison Square Garden Wednesday, but came up short in the end 62-60.

Going into the game, the Jaspers had come out of four straight wins over the Gaels. Bronx native sophomore Antoine Pearson led the Jaspers with a team-high 15 points. The Jaspers remained behind by a few points for much of the game and a late surge could not bring them back in time to recover.

The match at the Garden was the Gaels? first victory over Manhattan College in two years.

The Jaspers now hope to pick things up after a six-game losing streak.
