MORRISANIA - Police have arrested a man who is accused of killing his sister.

Jeremy Wilson was ushered out of the 42nd Precinct in handcuffs Friday night. He faces charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities say the brutal attacked happened Thursday at around 7 p.m. in the Brook Avenue apartment of Erica Wilson. It was her 30th birthday.

Authorities say that responders found the unconscious victim on the floor with head trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors say they had heard a loud scream. The victim's mother discovered her body.

Some neighbors who walked past the apartment in the aftermath of the crime said that they saw a dumbbell next to the victim's body, but police haven't confirmed whether the dumbbell was used.

The victim's friends, who didn't want to appear on camera, told News 12 that the victim was close to her family and that relatives had keys to her apartment.
