Jerome Ave. finally reopened after last month's water main break

THE BRONX - Weeks after a water main break shut down Jerome Avenue, officials say they have finally reopened the street to traffic.

The water main broke on July 27 and sent feet of water rushing all over the area, flooding numerous businesses and apartments.

For the businesses, they say they are glad to see the street reopened, but say it is not yet business as usual.

Many business owners say that residents still think the road is closed and are going elsewhere to shop. Some are not worried and believe with time that their customers will return.
