MORRIS HEIGHTS - A fire destroyed at least seven businesses early this morning in Morris Heights.

The fire broke out on the corner of 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue just after 6 a.m. The fire spread to many businesses in the area, including a bodega, a hair salon and a Kennedy Fried Chicken.

Officials say four people suffered minor injuries in the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
