Job fair held at BX Library Center

FORDHAM - Hundreds attended a job fair at the Bronx Library Center in Fordham earlier today. The first annual Workers Needed Job Fair was hosted by state Assemblyman Nelson Castro (D-86th District) and state Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D-33rd District). Representatives from more than 20 companies were on hand, looking to fill more than 200 openings. The majority of the jobs offered at the fair were in health-related fields, and some job seekers said they would have liked to see a wider variety. "I've seen a couple of the same companies at a lot of job fairs I've been to," said attendee Chelsea Lettsome. "So if they could try and get more companies involved in the job fair, that would be great."
