THE BRONX - A new jobs site could help many Bronx residents get back into the workforce.

The state Labor Department's Jobs Express website is aimed at attracting both job seekers and employers, with more than 42,000 open positions now listed throughout New York.

In The Bronx, unemployment is hovering at around 12 percent. Fortunately, officials say about half of the current openings are right here in the city.
