THE BRONX - Jonathan Lee was sentence to 40 years to life in prison today for attempting to kill several parole officers.

Prosecutors say Lee attempted to shoot several officers as they were bringing him in for a parole violation.

Karen Gormley, one of the officers involved in the incident, had to get stitches in her head after being pistol-whipped by Lee.

Several parole officers were present at that sentencing, and many said they believe justice has been served.
