Judge makes decision on church property dispute

THE BRONX - A judge decided today that the 'Assemblies of God' denomination must unlock the gates to a church so the Crossway Church and Christian Center can worship there.

The Crossway Church and Christian Center is involved in a legal dispute with the 'Assemblies of God' denomination over who owns the building.

Church members claim 'Assemblies of God' changed the locks over the weekend. Crossway Church members say they were forced to worship out on the sidewalk.

Last week, members of Crossway Church voted to separate from 'Assemblies of God' and both groups have been fighting over access to the building.

The attorney for 'Assemblies of God' says the lock will be taken off in time for the next service Wednesday night.
