FLORIDA - Jury selection began today for George Zimmerman's trial in Florida.

Attorney Mark O'Mara says he is looking for a panel with open minds "who are strong enough to decide the case on the facts of the law and not on the external public pressures." O'Mara says he has no immediate plans to put his client on the stand.

Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, and later released on bond. That bond was revoked briefly and reset after evidence surfaced that Zimmerman and his wife misrepresented their finances.
