THE BRONX - Police say a man may have held kids hostage at 665 Westchester Ave. Wednesday evening, then fled the scene.

Tenants say they heard screaming and loud noises coming from the hallway. They report they heard a man yell ?don?t move or I?ll kill the girl? coming from a nearby apartment.

Police stormed the halls with guns held high, but the perpetrator got away, witnesses say.
