Kids' day aims to shed light on Fordham Heights violence

FORDHAM HEIGHTS - A Fordham Heights housing complex today held a children's day in which kids could play care-free in the violence-ridden neighborhood.

Organizers set up games, balloon animals and tons of food for children to have a day of fun and forget their worries.

"This is a high-crime area. Unfortunately, we have lost some of our teens to violence," says Algernon Quattlebaum, who helped organize the event.
