BRONX ZOO - Children from across the borough learned how to manage their diabetes in creative ways Tuesday at the Bronx Zoo.

About 50 kids and their families participated in the zoo's Diabetes Day.

They learned about different food groups and the importance of log books, which are used to manage their sugar levels.

The event was organized by the Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
