THE BRONX - A Bronx church hosted its annual Kwanzaa celebration yesterday.

The holiday, started in 1966, is a celebration of African culture and unity.

At the Westchester United Methodist Church, a kinara was lit with seven candles, representing the holiday's seven principles, which include unity and self-determination.
