Laptops stolen overnight at P.S. 73

THE BRONX - Police are investigating the theft of more than 50 laptops from P.S. 73 this morning.

Police say the burglary occurred sometime after 3 p.m. yesterday at the school on 1020 Anderson Ave. Students were not allowed back in the building temporarily this morning as officials cleaned up broken glass.

News 12 The Bronx reached out to the Department of Education to ask about the current security system at the school, but officials would not comment.

School officials say the theft will be a substantial loss to the school. Police are investigating and have not made any arrests.
