'Larry Legend' speaks to BX youths on dangers of drug use

THE BRONX - An iconic Bronx-born streetball player returned to the borough today to speak to youths about the dangers of drug use.

Lawrence "Larry Legend" Gadsden spoke at Emolior Academy where his daughter, Lanice, attends school.

Lanice says she asked her dad to make an appearance because she feels kids her age could use the message.

The program featured guest speakers, giveaways and music. Students said they were excited to hear from Gadsden and some even played in a quick pick-up game with the legend.
