THE BRONX - Tonight was Opening Night for a Latin American circus making its first-ever visit to the Bronx. Jose Vasquez, the owner of El Circo Los Hermanos Vasquez, says he decided to kick off the New York tour in the Bronx because of its large Latino community.

The show features acrobats, jugglers, clowns, camels, horses and zebras.

The all-Spanish circus show comes in time for Hispanic Heritage month and will be in town through Nov. 1. Things get under way at the big top next to the Major Deegan Expressway on 149th and Exterior streets at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., five days a week.
