THE BRONX - Three members of the Latin King Goonies street gang have taken a plea deal in connection with a 2010 hate crime in the Bronx.

David Rivera, Elmer Confresi and Nelson Falu pleaded guilty to lesser charges in the anti-gay assault. Police say the men, along with four others, beat, tortured and sodomized three other men in a house on Osbourne Place.

The pleas were offered after lengthy consultations with the victims, who wanted to avoid having to testify in the case.

Rivera will serve 13 years in prison, Confresi was sentenced to four years and Falu will go away for seven years.
