THE BRONX - A Bronx state senator from Puerto Rico says he has fallen in love with the borough since moving to the states in 1998.

State Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D-The Bronx) proudly serves and lives in the 33rd District. He says he enjoys living among his constituents, which allows him to interact with residents and remain approachable.

Since taking office, Rivera has called on the community to become healthier together through the Bronx CAN Health Initiative.

Rivera is one of several people News 12 The Bronx will feature as part of Hispanic Heritage Month this October.
