THE BRONX - Two lawmakers say the NationalTransportation Safety Board will commence a broad investigation ofthe low-cost tour bus industry in the wake of a crash that killed15 people in the Bronx.

The announcement Sunday by Sen. Charles Schumer and Rep. Nydia Velazquez follows the March 12 crash of the bus on a Bronx highway. NTSB officials say the driver was speedingbefore the crash.

The bus crashed March 12 while returning to the city from acasino in Connecticut. The bus flipped onto one side and struck apole, which nearly severed the roof off.

Schumer says federal officials will review industry regulationsand their enforcement.

The NTSB expects the review to be completed in six months.
