Lawyer: Ex-cop accused of killing BX wife to plead not guilty

THE BRONX - The lawyer for the former police officer accused of killing his wife says his client plans to plead not guilty to second-degree murder charges.

Police say Tina Adovasio was found strangled to death along a section of the Taconic State Parkway last week.

Adovasio's husband, Edward Coello, is charged with second-degree murder in her death.

Police say Coello has a history of domestic violence and that Adovasio had filed for a restraining order against Coello, but she was killed before it was served.
