MOUNT HOPE - A leaky pipe has created a dangerous situation at a subway stop in Mount Hope.

Residents say the leaky pipe on Davidson Avenue subway stop has been sending water out since the summer. However, with the frigid temperatures, the running water has turned the sidewalk into a sheet of ice. Riders who use the nearby subway stop say it's dangerous and people have fallen on the ice.

News 12 The Bronx reached out to the city's Department of Environmental Protection, which sent crews over to shut the water pipe off. The DEP says it’s currently trying to find which building houses the pipe's main valve.
