Lehman College hosts summit to promote higher education

THE BRONX - High school students attended a summit today at Lehman College, where they learned about the importance of higher education.

Sponsored by Lehman College and the Urban Male Leadership Program, the fourth annual educational summit aims to help students make a successful transition to higher education. The leadership program says it strives to improve college attendance rates for African-American and Hispanic males.

Resources available to the students included prep for entrance exams and career counseling.
