THE BRONX - Lehman High School students are reaching out to their peers by writing, shooting and editing public service announcements.

The student filmmakers hope to help other teens that might be dealing with similarly difficult situations as they act out in the videos. Safe sex, suicide and bullying are some of the issues the students have produced into videos with the help of teacher James McSheery.

A few of the students said they have had past experience coping with the issues they presented in the projects. They say that the creative aspect more easily allows for expression of emotions.

McSheery said that he has made copies of the PSAs to send out to television stations and to the Tribeca Film Festival.
