THE BRONX - Lehman High School students were the proud winners of a nationwide PSA contest.

The student filmmakers created a video on the dangers of dating violence. Students in James McSheery's class produced and starred in the video for the national 'Let your Heart Rule' contest on the Dr. Phil show.

A few of the students said they have had past experiences coping with the issues they presented in the projects. They say that the creative aspect more easily allows for expression of emotions.

The school also wins $1,000 and receives Verizon tablet computers.
