LONGWOOD - Police have arrested a man who they say was behind the wheel during a fatal hit-and-run in Longwood.

According to authorities, 31-year-old Leroy Forrest struck and killed 24-year-old Abigail Lino with his SUV.

It happened on Bruckner Boulevard and Austin Place at around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Forrest was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. His bail was set at $7,000 bond or $5,000 cash.

Forrest's next court appearance will be September 6.
