WAKEFIELD - A Bronx dad is being honored by Mayor Michael Bloomberg for his dedication to his family.

Leyvan Jones is one of five Bronx fathers to receive the 2013 Dads Matter Award from Mayor Bloomberg. Jones, a single father of six who works full-time, recently earned his bachelor's degree.

Jones says when he and his wife broke up he wanted to stay in his children's lives, so he decided they could live with him. Jones raises a 17-year-old and two sets of twins.

Jones also says that his ex-wife and his parents are very helpful and supportive in the raising of his children and helping him get his college degree.

Jones says he's honored to be recognized and says being a role model to his children is his most important achievement as a father.
