THE BRONX - Billy's Sports Bar near Yankee Stadium was turned into a night club for the fifth annual Pride Awards celebration Wednesday evening.

The event hosted by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. honored six people for their work in advancing the LGBTQ community in areas like anti-violence and health.

Honorees include people from Bronx Lebanon Hospital, the Sage Center and Boom Health.

Organizers say the celebration will continue July 18 with an annual health fair at Crotona Park.
