Lights go out on northern Bronx residents

THE BRONX - A power outage in the north Bronx left about 1,200 customers without service Friday.

Baychester and Eastchester residents began experiencing power losses around 1:30 p.m., according to Consolidated Edison spokesman Chris Olert. Officials say the outage was likely weather-related.

Power was restored to most residents by the evening.
