THE BRONX - The power went out for hundreds of Consolidated Edison, Inc. customers in West Farms.

Con Ed says the power went out at 11 p.m. Wednesday night. Much of the power has been restored this morning. However, hundreds of customers spent the night in the heat sleeping outside for relief.

The company says the two manholes are to blame for the outage. Power is expected to be restored today.
