Local apartment workers' union holds rally in Riverdale

RIVERDALE - Thousands of apartment workers could go on strike in two weeks if their demands aren't met by the Bronx Realty Advisory Board.

Apartment workers from the local Apartment Workers' Union 32 BJ rallied in Riverdale today to show support for their union, currently negotiating with the Bronx Realty Advisory board, which represents building owners. The union wants to negotiate for better retirement and health care options.

The union represents nearly 3,000 employees across The Bronx, including building superintendents, janitors, doormen and elevator operators.
