THE BRONX - Local artists are showcasing some of their work in a street fundraiser aimed at helping a Mott Haven business owner still struggling a year after Superstorm Sandy.

Jamie Jones organized the event at 127 Lincoln Ave. She says her printing studio was severely damaged during the storm, and she opened a second shop during the recovery process, but has now fallen behind on rent for both.

Jones and the group of helpful artists are also looking to form a cooperative so that they can help each other recover in the event of another disaster.

The same street fundraiser is expected to continue for several more weekends.
