THE BRONX - Some local beach clubs in Throgs Neck are finding it hard to stay afloat.

The rainy weather is putting a damper on the clubs, and some of the venues are still rebuilding from the damage caused by Sandy.

However, beach club owners say they have been able to remain open because of loyal members and the community's generosity.

Some of the clubs have been a fixture to the waterfront community for close to a century.
