THE BRONX - Some local charities are still struggling to feed many homeless and hungry on Thanksgiving.

Part of the Solution (POTS) and the Salvation Army in the Bronx received less than half of their usual funding this year. The organizers reached out to News 12 but haven?t yet received enough donations to feed the 1,000 people they expect.

Both organizations are still open to donations of food, canned goods and other non-perishable items.
