THE BRONX - A Bronx cemetery has a special way of giving back to our nation's fallen heroes.

Local Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts are just a handful of volunteers participating in Woodlawn Cemetery's annual flagging of veterans' graves.

Many scouts have family members in the armed forces and say that they understand how important it is to pay respect to the nation's veterans.

Scouts, along with their scout leaders, say that planting the stars and stripes is just a small token of their appreciation.

More than 200 volunteers will be coming to the cemetery over the next several weekends until Memorial Day to place a flag at the gravesites of over 5,000 veterans.
