LOCUST POINT - Community members in Locust Point are upset after someone vandalized their town sign.

The Locust Point Civic Association created a symbol to represent its community. The sign was up for two weeks before vandals ripped it down, struck it with a bat and stole one of the sign's oars.

The Civic Association told News 12 The Bronx the sign will take about a month to repair, and it will place it higher to stay out of reach of vandals.
